Welcome!
We’re a small family breeder raising working-line German Shepherds on 40 acres of rural countryside in the backwoods of New England. We specialize in producing high-quality German Shepherds known for their exceptional personalities, working drive, and balanced temperaments.
With only one breeding female, Freda — our beloved family member — we have the unique opportunity to carefully plan each litter, dedicating countless hours to observing and working with our puppies. Raised within our home and surrounded by our family, they receive plenty of love and care from day one.
health & integrity
All of our dogs are proudly registered with the AKC and fully health tested. To ensure our puppies grow up healthy and happy, we conduct comprehensive genetic and health screenings through reputable veterinarians.
Hips, elbows, eyes, and heart evaluated by the OFA on every parent before breeding.
Testing done through Embark is done for the 120 most common genetic diseases in German Shepherds, so you know what you’re bringing home!

Before you apply
Our dogs are bred for a job — protection, tracking, scent detection and sport. They are intense, driven and genuinely hard work, and they are not suited to a quiet household. If that is the dog you want, we would love to hear from you.

We are located in the rural backwoods of Northern Maine, in Penobscot County — about one hour from Bangor and two hours from Portland. All of our puppies can be picked up at our home, and for those unable to make the trip, we offer special delivery options.

Potty training starts long before your puppy comes home!
At around 3–4 weeks, puppies are becoming more mobile and exploring their environment. Breeders can begin introducing a designated potty area to help establish early habits.
This doesn’t mean puppies are fully potty trained! They still have limited control, and accidents are a normal part of development.
Consistency, an appropriate setup, and patience are key as they grow.

It’s been 18 days since the puppies were born… and I can’t imagine it without them! Each one holds a special place in my heart and I know it will be hard letting them go, but for now I have 6 long weeks left with them before they head off to their forever families. Yet these early weeks are so crucial as we as breeders have an incredible job to play and can impact the life’s of these little ones so much in what we choose to do in the first few weeks of life building foundations and setting them up for success. 🥹
Happy three weeks old to the A litter! 🥰❤️ the puppies started potty training a few days ago and are catching on quickly! It’s so fun to watch them grow, their little baby teeth are starting to poke through- they’re not gonna to be peaceful little bears for much longer 😱🤣🐻
Time to graduate to a bigger playpen I guess!
